- 500 gms Fish
- 1/2 Grated coconut
- 2 Onions chopped
- 2 boiled Tomatoes
- 2 tablespoon Coriander seeds
- 10-15 Garlic cloves
- 2 Tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 4-5 Kokum (Garcinia Indica)
- Salt
- Oil
Grind 1/2 Grated coconut, Onions, boiled tomatoes Coriander seeds,
red chili powder, Garlic cloves and make a fine paste. Keep aside.
Take Oil in a Pot/ Deep pan. Heat it.
Add turmeric powder. Add the paste immediately to it.
Stir fry for 10 mins in the pan.
Add 1 cup water or as per need and bring to boil.
Add kokum and salt while boiling.
Once a boil comes add the fish pieces of Surmai fish (King Fish)
Try and keep a few pieces of the head and tail for Flavor.
Keep on the lowest flame for 15 mins and don’t stir much.
The fish will absorb the flavors from the curry and will become soft.
Put off the flame.
Serve hot after garnishing with coriander.
