Well-Groomed Face

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

This happened when recording a video for one of my recipes. I generally don’t get in videos and I am quite happy blogging. Only when the demand is high I get into making videos. Since we are involved in lots of social activities, the traditional Sheera (Suji ka Halwa) is always in demand and being a self-trained chef, I pour my heart, making it every time and it has turned out to be very good so far. So when all friends and colleagues asked me to make a video of this dish though excited I was a bit skeptical and was not sure if I could record it in one take.

So I got to the cooking place and put my mind together after a clean shaved look and put the requirements together as follows:

500 GMs Rawa (Suji)
1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
400 GMs Ghee
2 teaspoon Milk Masala
400 GMs Sugar
Crushed dry fruits as per choice
500 ML Milk
1 Wok (Kadhai)
Serves 6-8 people

Take a wok (Pan) and heat the pan (Wok) and preheat it. Reduce flame and add Ghee. Then add the cardamom powder and Rawa (Suji). Mix well after spreading evenly. Keep stirring it till you get the desired golden brown color. Add sugar and stir well. Ensure it does not get caramelized, but mixes with the Rawa. Add the warm milk and keep stirring till you get the desired consistency. Add some saffron, Milk Masala, Pineapple or Banana if needed. Add some dry fruits as needed and while presenting it them make sure that the chopped dry fruits appear on top of the Halwa to give it a brilliant look.

Having written this recipe, it becomes easy for one to watch the video and understand the process . In case you want to tweak a few ingredients in proportions please feel free to do so as it is liked any which ways.  So watch the video and do leave your comments if any.
